Join us for the second round of Charge & Connect NoVOC virtual Coffee Chats webinars!

We’re kicking off the second round of relaxed virtual coffee chats on sustainable lithium-ion battery manufacturing.

“Charge & Connect” is an open webinar series organised and hosted by the Horizon Europe project NoVOC.

We bring together researchers, innovators, industry leaders, and policymakers to explore the latest breakthroughs in aqueous and dry electrode manufacturing and sustainable lithium-ion battery production through a series of relaxed virtual coffee chats.

We will start the reboot of this successful series (first round see here) on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 2 pm CEST with the first 1-hour event, and will continue with five more webinars until the end of the year. Registration to each webinar opens a month in advance respectively and is done via Google Forms (links hereunder). Events that are already open for registration are marked in bold.

The first session featuring Emanuel Lourenço from INEGI, Portugal, offers unique insights into how cross-project collaboration is shaping more consistent and robust approaches to battery life cycle assessment.

The talk builds on a recently released preprint by the Battery Heroes Sustainability Working Group - bringing together expertise from the Horizon Europe projects NoVOC, GIGAGREEN, BatWoMan, GIGABAT, and BATMACHINE. Explore the preprint here.

The second edition will be taking place on September 2, 2026 CEST and will feature Michael Kotzé, Chief Product Officer and Co-founder of Incipientus Ultrasound Flow Technologies AB with his talk on "Continuous Yield Stress & Viscosity Measurement: Eliminating Electrode Defects at the Source".
